The purpose of the Equal Employment Opportunity Advisory Committee is to advise and recommend courses of action to the Human Resources Department Director and the County Manager regarding the effectiveness of the Equal Employment Opportunity Plan and its programs. The Committee is a resource group working to help the County Manager and the Human Resources Department Director measure the progress made by the County and its organizations toward this end.

Managers and Supervisors
County managers and supervisors are responsible for the following:
- Ensuring that all staff understand and work within Federal and State laws, as well as County policies and procedures, dealing with equal employment opportunity and affirmative action.
- Initiating steps to foster and maintain a work climate that is conducive to achieving equal employment opportunities and a workplace free from discrimination or harassment.
