The Department of Public Works is soliciting proposals from qualified firms or individuals to provide design and engineering services to replace the County's existing access control system with a new centralized, open-architecture electronic access control system at County locations.
On Call Vertical Transportation Consulting Services
The Department of Public Works is seeking On-Call Vertical Transportation Consulting Services related to equipment repair and/or installation on existing vertical transportation equipment (elevators), proposed new capital projects and other projects, as necessary, managed under the Department. It is anticipated that selected firms will provide assessment, design, and administrative services in all phases of elevator repair, replacement and modernization in the County's elevator portfolio.
On Call Fire Protection Consulting Services
The Department of Public Works is seeking On-Call Fire Protection Engineering & Consulting Services to provide fire and life safety review, plan design, design drawing and project oversight to the Department, and review Building/Tenant Improvement Plans related to Fire Codes and Regulations. The anticipated services may include various consulting needs for a variety of Capital Projects within the County of San Mateo (County) managed under the Department.
Reconstruction of 8th, 16th, and Installation of Valley Gutters on Fair Oaks Avenue Project
The Project involves the roadway reconstruction of 8th Avenue and 16th Avenue and installation of valley gutters on Fair Oaks Avenue as well as replacement of the sewer main pipelines.
On-Call Architectural Consulting Services
The Department of Public Works Capital Projects section is seeking qualified consultants for On-Call Architectural Consulting Services for a variety of Capital Projects within the County of San Mateo managed under the Department of Public Works. The selected firms should anticipate being called upon to deliver a variety of project types of varying degrees of complexity and scale. Some of the projects that may be requested include early-stage design services such as needs assessment, programming, concept design, schematic design, feasibility studies, mid- and late-stage projects with design and engineering services related to design development, construction documentation, construction administration, and project closeout. Projects may include, but is not limited to, general construction, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and space planning and Department of Health Care Access and Information (HCAI) projects. Requested services may involve an entire project or for a portion of a project or for any project phase. Specific to project onsite responsiveness, architectural firm and space planning firm’s respective subconsultants shall be within proximity of the County of San Mateo whereby a same day project site visit requires immediate attention.
