The Department of Public Works is seeking contractors for eight trades categories: General Construction (JOC 2601 through JOC 2605), Mechanical Works/HVAC (JOC 2606 through JOC 2608), Roofing (JOC 2609 and JOC 2610), Flooring (JOC 2611 and JOC 2612), Plumbing (JOC 2613 and JOC 2614), Electrical and Lighting (JOC 2615 and JOC 2616), Painting (JOC 2617 and JOC 2618), and Hazardous Materials (JOC 2619 through JOC 2621) work and related services to be performed within a designated area of the County.
A mandatory in-person pre-bid conference is scheduled for Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at 10:00am.

Landscaping and Grounds Maintenance Services
The Department of Public Works is seeking a landscaping and grounds maintenance firm to maintain the landscaping throughout the County of San Mateo's owned and operated locations. There are currently over 50 locations that will require services under this solicitation. The work to be performed is comprised of general horticultural maintenance, irrigation maintenance, grounds maintenance, green infrastructure maintenance and other related work.

2025 On-Call Upfitting Vehicles with Public Safety Equipment Services
The Department of Public Works is seeking a firm or set of firms to perform upfitting services of public safety equipment for various classifications, types, and makes and models of vehicles as requested by the County of San Mateo, on an on-call or as needed basis. The selected firms should provide all equipment, materials and labor for upfitting vehicles with public safety equipment for various departments within the County for their operational needs. The target start of the contract term is October 21, 2025, with a term of five (5) years. The resulting contract(s) from this solicitation may be piggybacked by the twenty cities within the County of San Mateo or any other governmental agency.
