On June 24th, the United States Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. In a historic decision, the Court declared that the constitutional right to abortion, upheld for nearly a half-century, no longer exists. This leaves abortion rights to be determined by states unless the U.S. Congress acts to legislate federal protection for abortion.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month! Mental Health Month was established in 1949 to increase awareness of the importance of mental health and the impact it can have on our physical, emotional, and mental well-being. Mental health is essential for a person's overall health. Prevention works, treatment is effective, and people can recover from mental disorders and live full and productive lives.
The VTO Program Open Enrollment is open from May 2nd to June 2nd . VTO is an option for County employees who are looking to balance their work and personal/family demands.
