What is a fellowship?

The San Mateo County Management Fellowship Program is ideal for recent graduates who want to gain in-depth working experience, learn about local government, and become future public sector leaders.
How long do fellowships last?
Fellowships last between 2 and 3 years, depending on the nature of the assignment.
When do fellowships start?

What is the salary and benefits package of a fellow?
Fellows will receive a competitive salary, which is dependent upon the complexity of their assignment. In addition, fellows will receive full health benefits (including dental), vacation leave sick leave, and a defined contribution retirement plan.
