The outdoors are best experienced in-person, of course! But here are some videos, programs, and other online resources that can inform and enhance your experience of San Mateo County Parks.
Activities for Kids

Join our interpretive ranger Katherine Wright each Saturday at 10:00 AM, for Reading with a Ranger, a storytelling series that helps kids connect with nature. Follow us on Facebook HERE! And enjoy some of the past readings, listed below.

Junior Ranger Challenge

Calling all kids, ages 7-12! We invite you and your family to explore San Mateo County’s wealth of natural, cultural, and recreational resources. Instead of in-person Junior Ranger programs, this year we're doing a Junior Ranger Challenge so you can become a Junior Ranger safely with your COVID pod. The challenge runs from April 1–September 30.

Dispatches from San Mateo County Parks' Natural Resource Management
Even as some Parks public services remain curtailed due to COVID-19, stewardship of parks as natural spaces continues through the management and conservation efforts of our Natural Resource Management staff. Learn about their ongoing projects and get a virtual dose of the outdoors in their series of dispatches, Field Notes.
