Why buy a park pass?
A San Mateo County Park Pass allows you entry with your vehicle to any of our park locations that charge a vehicle entry fee as often as you'd like for a single modest fee. The pass is good for 12 months and covers the cost of vehicle entry each time you visit. You can bring a carful of friends and relatives with you into the park at no additional charge with your pass.
Who may purchase a park pass?
Anyone can purchase a pass. You do not need to be a San Mateo County resident. You can also give the pass as a gift to allow others to enjoy and appreciate the amazing locations from bay to coast that are part of the San Mateo County Park system.
How does the pass work and how do I get one?
The pass is good for 12 months from the date of purchase and waives the vehicle entry fee, allowing the pass-holder to easily enter the park. Other park usage fees, such as picnic and camping reservations, are not covered by this pass. You, or the person you designate as the pass-holder, will receive the pass in the mail within 14 days of purchase. The pass is non-replaceable.
Which parks charge a vehicle entry fee?
Seven of our 24 parks require paid parking. They include:

- Memorial Park (Loma Mar)
- Sam McDonald Park (La Honda)
- San Bruno Mountain Park (Brisbane)
