Portions of the San Andreas segment of Crystal Springs Regional Trail will be closed through late February 2023.

Single-track trails in Sam McDonald Park and Pescadero Creek Park are currently closed to equestrians for winter. Fire roads remain open.

Bicycle Sunday Canceled For Holiday Weekends 2022
For holiday weekends in 2022, Bicycle Sunday, the weekly event that allows for non-motorized use of Cañada Road along Crystal Springs Regional Trail, will be canceled to meet the increased holiday needs for staffing at other parks in the area. Bicyclists and motorists, please be mindful to share the road.
Pescadero Creek Park Partially Reopened
In addition to the previously open northern portion of Pescadero Creek Park, a western portion of Old Haul Road is now open. The area south and west of the park, which was burned by the CZU Lightning Complex Fire, remains closed.
Quarry Park Fuel Reduction Project Underway
We are currently treating up to 100 acres of dense fire fuels in Quarry Park. Some trail closures will occur, Monday through Friday.
Quarry Park Pump Track Maintenance Every Wednesday
Wednesdays are the regularly scheduled maintenance days for the pump track at Quarry Park. The track will be closed on Wednesdays, sometimes for part of the day, sometimes for the full day, as maintenance needs require.
Huddart Park Forest Health Work Update
Crews have returned to Huddart Park to follow up on forest health work performed last November and December near the park entrance. Trails slated for closure include Redwood Nature Trail, and Bay Tree Trail.
Parking Lot Safety
Park staff patrol parking lots, but taking your own precautions against theft is always advised. Familiarize yourself with precautions you can take to protect your valuables and vehicle.
Iris Point Sites Closed
Plans to renovate for Junipero Serra Park's Iris Point youth day camp are in development. The site is closed until further notice.
Be Aware Of Illegal Trails
The Department has observed and received reports of numerous trails in Quarry Park that have been built without permission and therefore are not according to Department trail standards. In addition, signage made to appear as formal Department signs have been nailed to trees.
Avoid Ticks
Ticks are parasitic arachnids that wait in vegetation or on rocks or logs for an animal or human to brush up against them. Once contact is made the tick will attach to its host by anchoring into the skin using hook-like mouthparts. Ticks may carry diseases transmittable to humans such as Lyme Disease and should be avoided.

Detour On Bay Trail At Coyote Point
Beginning in September 2020 the North Shoreview Flood Improvement Project will place a temporary detour on the Bay Trail where it leads thorough Coyote Point Recreation Area.
Coyote Point Beach Dump Station Closed
The dump station in Coyote Point Recreation Area's beach area, near the RV rental sites, are currently closed for repairs until further notice.
