On Tuesday, July 5 though Thursday, July 7, trails in the northern portion of San Bruno Mountain Park will undergo closures for mowing being performed in the park.
For holiday weekends in 2022, Bicycle Sunday, the weekly event that allows for non-motorized use of Cañada Road along Crystal Springs Regional Trail, will be canceled to meet the increased holiday needs for staffing at other parks in the area. Bicyclists and motorists, please be mindful to share the road.
Portions of Crystal Springs Regional Trail will be closed for summer projects between May 16 and September 30.
Crews have returned to Huddart Park to follow up on forest health work performed last November and December near the park entrance. Trails slated for closure include Redwood Nature Trail, and Bay Tree Trail.
Huddart Park's Richards Road Trail is currently closed from trail marker 2 to 33.
On May 9 - 20, Edgewood Park's Sylvan Trail and Baywood Trail will be closed as crews perform fuel reduction work.
Beginning the week of June 6, we will be treating up to 100 acres of dense fire fuels in Quarry Park. Some trail closures will occur, Monday through Friday.
In addition to the previously open northern portion of Pescadero Creek Park, a western portion of Old Haul Road is now open. The area south and west of the park, which was burned by the CZU Lightning Complex Fire, remains closed.
Construction of the Quarry Park Pump Track has begun. Visitors can help this project be completed on time by staying out the fenced project site.
PG&E are performing vegetation management work along an electrical distribution line running through Sam McDonald & Pescadero Creek parks. Expect temporary delays and noise where crews are working.
Sam McDonald Park's Big Tree Trail is currently closed for maintenance and a bridge replacement. The trail will reopen in spring of 2022 at the earliest.

On Monday, May 3, construction commences on the Eastern Promenade Rejuvenation Project at Coyote Point Recreation Area. This is the main construction phase of a redesign project that will bring improved beach access, a re-located restroom, a re-configured parking area, and a new sandy beach shaped as a crenulate bay and adaptable to climate change.
The Department has observed and received reports of numerous trails in Quarry Park that have been built without permission and therefore are not according to Department trail standards. In addition, signage made to appear as formal Department signs have been nailed to trees.
Ticks are parasitic arachnids that wait in vegetation or on rocks or logs for an animal or human to brush up against them. Once contact is made the tick will attach to its host by anchoring into the skin using hook-like mouthparts. Ticks may carry diseases transmittable to humans such as Lyme Disease and should be avoided.

Beginning in September 2020 the North Shoreview Flood Improvement Project will place a temporary detour on the Bay Trail where it leads thorough Coyote Point Recreation Area.
