Azalea & Wurr Campgrounds Closed through April 16
Memorial Park's Azalea and Wurr Campgrounds will be closed through Sunday, April 16, due to flooding and repair work.
Coyote Point Recreation Area & Marina Closed through April 7
Coyote Point Recreation Area and the Coyote Point Marina are closed through Friday, April 7 due to a power outage and fallen trees throughout the park.
Pillar Point Bluff Trail Closures
Jean Lauer Trail partial closure coming soon. The Pillar Point Bluff Trail is currently closed due to a landslide blocking the path.
Huddart Park Trail Closures
Huddart Park has reopened following a full closure due to heavy rain and high winds. Two trails remain partially closed as staff work to clear heavy storm damage.

Spring 2023 Closures on Crystal Springs Regional Trail
The Sawyer Camp segment is closed north of the south gate until further notice because of storm damage. Northern and southern portions of San Andreas segment are closed until May 2023. Ralston Bike Trail is closed beginning for PG&E to work on a gas transmission line.
Reservations at Memorial Park Canceled through March 31
The cancellation of reservations for campsites and facilities at Memorial Park has been extended through Friday, March 31, due to flooding in the campground, tree-blocked roads and other storm damage.

Devil's Slide North Gate Closed
The north gate of Devil’s Slide Trail remains closed due to ongoing rockslides caused by the January 2023 storms. Trail access is available from the south gate.

The area south and west of the park, which was burned by the CZU Lightning Complex Fire, remains closed. Other trails remain closed due to storm damage.
Bicycle Sunday Canceled For Holiday Weekends 2023
For holiday weekends in 2023, Bicycle Sunday, the weekly event that allows for non-motorized use of Cañada Road along Crystal Springs Regional Trail, will be canceled to meet the increased holiday needs for staffing at other parks in the area. Bicyclists and motorists, please be mindful to share the road.
Quarry Park Pump Track Maintenance & Weather Closures
The pump track will be closed on Wednesdays, for either a part or full day, to perform maintenance. The track will also be closed during and following wet weather.
Pescadero Creek & Sam McDonald Parks Single-Track Trails Closed to Equestrians
Single-track trails in Sam McDonald Park and Pescadero Creek Park are currently closed to equestrians for winter. Fire roads remain open.
Shaw Flat Closed for Winter
Quarry Park Fuel Reduction Project Underway
We are currently treating up to 100 acres of dense fire fuels in Quarry Park. Some trail closures will occur, Monday through Friday.
Huddart Park Forest Health Work Update
Crews have returned to Huddart Park to follow up on forest health work performed last November and December near the park entrance. Trails slated for closure include Redwood Nature Trail, and Bay Tree Trail.
Parking Lot Safety
Park staff patrol parking lots, but taking your own precautions against theft is always advised. Familiarize yourself with precautions you can take to protect your valuables and vehicle.
Iris Point Sites Closed
Plans to renovate for Junipero Serra Park's Iris Point youth day camp are in development. The site is closed until further notice.
Be Aware Of Illegal Trails
The Department has observed and received reports of numerous trails in Quarry Park that have been built without permission and therefore are not according to Department trail standards. In addition, signage made to appear as formal Department signs have been nailed to trees.
Avoid Ticks
Ticks are parasitic arachnids that wait in vegetation or on rocks or logs for an animal or human to brush up against them. Once contact is made the tick will attach to its host by anchoring into the skin using hook-like mouthparts. Ticks may carry diseases transmittable to humans such as Lyme Disease and should be avoided.
