Trails & Trail Camps Closed for Forest Health Project
Closures for forest health and fuel reduction work throughout Pescadero Creek Park have been largely lifted, broadening visitor access to the park through the rest of the summer and fall. This project is funded by CAL FIRE Forest Health Grant as part of California Climate Investments and is managed by San Mateo County Parks, San Mateo RCD and Auten Resources Consulting.
The remaining trail & trail camp closures are as follows:
- Old Haul Road from trail marker 58 at Pomponio Trail to trail marker 68 at Shaw Flat Trail.
- The Tarwater Trailhead and parking lot and Tarwater Trail Camp.
The closure on Old Haul Road will remain in place through fall 2026.

Closure on Baker Fire Road
Baker Fire Road is closed between junctions 74 & 75 due to a bridge failure.
