Oak Cove Reservation Area Closed Through September 1

Through September 1, the Oak Cove Reservation Area will be closed while SFPUC installs a storm drain culvert. This closure may be extended, depending on weather conditions. See the SFPUC project webpage and construction notice for more information.

    Iris Point Sites Closed

    Trail & Road Closures

Closure on Oak Cove Trail, Aug 12–14

Beginning week of August 10, crews will be working to maintain a shaded fuel break at the south border of Junipero Serra Park to mitigate the risk of wildfire to the neighboring community. As part of this scheduled maintenance crews will be cutting and chipping eucalyptus and invasive broom that has sprouted since the fuel break was created.

Work will occur on weekdays only and is expected to last approximately two weeks. Oak Cove Trail will be closed Wednesday, August 12 through Friday, August 14. Other trails and facilities will remain open unless marked otherwise on the map above.

Equipment used for eucalyptus management may generate noise and dust. Chipped material will be broadcast in the project area. Cut eucalyptus stumps and emerging invasive broom will be treated with herbicide. You can help expedite this important work by avoiding the project area and obeying all road and trail closure signs and pesticide advisories. Learn more:
