In recognition of US Veterans service, the San Mateo County Parks Department waives the $6 vehicle entrance fee year-round for veterans who provide proof of veteran service. San Mateo County Parks accepts the Veterans Designator for the California ID, as well as San Mateo County Veteran Identification Cards still in circulation (now discontinued), and veteran identification cards issued by the US Department of Veterans Affairs.

Acknowledging the service and sacrifices veterans make is important for veterans, their families and our community. Waiving park entrance fees to foster enjoyment of outdoor space is a simple way to demonstrate our appreciation.
