Trails & Trail Camps Closed for Forest Health Project
Beginning Monday, August 10, closures for forest health and fuel reduction work throughout Pescadero Creek Park will be largely lifted, broadening visitor access to the park through the rest of the summer. This project is funded by CAL FIRE Forest Health Grant as part of California Climate Investments and is managed by San Mateo County Parks, San Mateo RCD and Auten Resources Consulting. The remaining trail & trail camp closures are as follows:
- Old Haul Road from trail marker 48 at the Hoffman Creek Trailhead entering Memorial Park to trail marker 58
- Pomponio Trail from trail marker 58 on Old Haul Road to where the trail meets Pescadero Creek
- Shaw Flat Trail Camp
- The Tarwater Trailhead and parking lot and Tarwater Trail Camp.
The closure on Old Haul Road will remain in place for approximately two weeks. Then, as work progresses, the closure will move to another portion of Old Haul Road.
