How to apply?
Submit an application to the Building Inspection Section stating the project address, the owner of the property, architect, engineer, or contractor information. Along with the application, you must submit a drawing that accurately demonstrates how the repair will be made.
What fees must I pay?
The permit fee for the repair of a masonry chimney is a flat fee. In addition to the permit fee, a filing fee and microfilming fee will be required. Please refer to the fee schedule for the current rates or contact a Permit Technician at (650) 599-7310 for an estimate of your permit costs.
Plans which require review by our structural plan checker, due to engineering or other complications will also require a plan check fee.
