The Bayside Design Review Committee is appointed by the Board of Supervisors to ensure that new development is compatible with the physical setting of the site and the visual character of the communities of Palomar Park and Devonshire.  In June 2026, the Board of Supervisors adopted an updated Design Review Ordinance that has made this process ministerial (staff-level), effective July 23, 2026, for design review areas outside of the Coastal Zone. 

Following the adoption of the Design Review Ordinance Update project, public hearings for the Bayside Design Review Committeewill only be scheduled as needed for review of projects submitted prior to the effective date of the updated ordinance.
