Barbara Leff joined the Housing Authority of the County of San Mateo in 1993. She was promoted through several increasingly responsible accounting positions until she became the HACSM Finance Officer in 2010. In 2012, Barbara was promoted to Financial Services Manager for both HACSM and HCD divisions which make up the entirety of the Department of Housing.
The accounting department is tasked with documenting all financial transactions for the numerous awards and grants to HACSM and HCD, from HUD, the State of California, the County of San Mateo and other sources of over $200 million. Barbara oversees a dedicated team responsible for accurately processing, recording, tracking, and reporting these transactions and is very proud of her team’s accomplishments.
