On October 8, 2020the Housing Authority of the County of San Mateo’s (HACSM) Certifying Officer executed the Environmental Assessment Determinations and Compliance Findings for HUD-assisted Projects 24 CFR Part 58 (Part 58) in connection with the Midway Village redevelopment project (Project). The Part 58 included the following excerpt under 24 CFR Part 50.3(i) & 58.5(i)(2)

The LUC modification will be based on a Human Health Risk Assessment and amendment to the Remedial Action Plan, both of which are expected to be complete in late 2020. 

On November 5, 2020, HACSM submitted its Request for Release of Funds and Certification to U.S. HUD - San Francisco Regional Office IX Office of Public and Indian Housing and on November 23, 2020, HACSM received its Authority to Use Grant Funds for the Project

On June 29, 2021, the Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) approved the amendment to the Remedial Action Plan (RAP Amendment), attached hereto. 

The Environmental Review Record must be updated to include the DTSC approved RAP Amendment. 

As of July 28, 2021, the Environmental Review Record for the Project has been updated to include the DTSC approved RAP Amendment, as documented on HACSM’s website under ‘Public Notices’ at https://housing.smcgov.org/doh-public-notices and is available for the public’s review at HACSM’s office, located at 264 Harbor Blvd., Bldg. A, Belmont, CA 94002, Monday – Thursday, 9am to 5pm
