In early May construction crews will begin working in the San Bruno Mountain Day Use area, building nine new picnic areas, a new accessible restroom, and interpretive displays.
The Board of Supervisors, at the April 8, 2025 meeting, authorized San Mateo County Parks and San Mateo Resource Conservation District to implement planned forest management projects detailed in Pescadero Creek County Park’s Climate and Habitat Resiliency Plan.

On Sat., Dec. 21, Flood Park will open recently completed facilities, including a small multi-use sports field, basketball and tennis and pickleball courts, and the bike pump track.
Among the three concepts presented, the most popular with the community was boulder canyon, which reflects a natural aesthetic and will incorporate rocks of varying sizes to serve as play and relaxation areas.
Construction activity includes the parking area, an ADA-accessible trail, restrooms and a stacked seating/viewing feature.
Contractors have excavated concrete and grass areas, tennis courts and picnic sites in preparation for construction of new sports facilities and picnic areas. Work is planned for Saturdays in late July/early August.
