  • Trail Closures for Invasive Plant Management on North Side, June 16–17

Crews are currently working in Owl Canyon (on the north side of the mountain off Quarry Road) and on the Ridge Trail protecting endangered native plants by treating invasive fennel, coyote brush, and scrub. Treatment includes spot-application of the herbicides Garlon 4 Ultra and Vastlan.

On Tuesday & Wednesday, June 16–17, this work will occur within 30 feet of trails requiring closure of:

    • Owl Canyon Trail - between Quarry Road and the top of the mountain
    • Ridge Trail - the portion which intersects with Owl Canyon Trail

When the closure is lifted, crews will continue to work in the area through June 19, but will be far enough away from trails that no closures are needed.
