Construction of Tunitas Creek Beach has begun, with the park scheduled to open in Summer 2024. During the next 10 to 12 months, construction contractors will build a parking area (including ADA parking), several overlook points, pathways, seating and picnic areas, restrooms, hiking trails, and beach access. Initial work will focus on grading the site to establish service roads and pathways prior to the arrival of winter weather.
The property will be closed for construction until the park opening and is not accessible to the public. Motorists on Highway 1 may occasionally be impacted by heavy equipment activity and the delivery of construction materials.
