'Tis the season for mushrooms! As the rains come this winter, so will the plethora of beautiful mushrooms dot our forest floors. It is important to remember that mushroom foraging is not permitted in San Mateo County Parks and that mushrooms like the death cap (pictured above) can be easily confused with common edible varieties. Please be careful as mushroom toxicity can be deadly.
