On Saturday, June 7, at 10 a.m., the community is invited to celebrate the opening of all recently completed park facilities and groundbreaking for the new playground.
Now that construction has been completed in more areas of the park, the sand volleyball courts, drop-in picnic sites, and restrooms will be open. The multi-use sports field, bike pump-track, and basketball, tennis and pickleball courts opened earlier this year.
Even more exciting is the start of construction of the park’s new playground that will feature climbing towers, bridges, multiple slides, zip lines, different styles of swings, and much more, including an area for children ages 2 to 5. Construction is expected to be completed spring of 2026.
Because the vehicle fee has been eliminated, entrance to the park is free and easy.
