Fuel Reduction Work
Beginning the week of September 18, 2023, San Mateo County Parks will launch a project in Memorial County Park to create a shaded fuel break along Pescadero Creek Road and Wurr Road. The work will require phased closures throughout Memorial Park.
- Phase 1 Closure: Sep 18–22 & 25–29

Homestead Trail between TM 14 and 17 - Phase 2 Closure: Oct 2–6

Additional closures in November 2023 may also be needed.
Fire fuel management may include a variety of methods, such as manual and mechanical removal and use of large equipment to haul and chip woody debris. For your safety, please watch for and heed signs around work areas.

Trillium Nature Trail Closed
Trillium Nature Trail in Memorial Park is closed, from trail markers 3 to 5, due to a large fir tree that fell in the March 2023 storms and blocked the trail.
