Previous Updates
- In late winter 2023, crews thinned low growing vegetation and removed dead and unhealthy eucalyptus trees in the Iris Point Youth Camp. They also removed dead and hazardous Monterey Pines along the park's primary access road.
- In January 2020 we collaborated with CAL FIRE to treat approximately five acres of vegetation along the boundary of the park and houses along Terrace Drive in Millbrae. The project focused on expanding an existing shaded fuel break to improve defensible space for neighbors by removing brush and small-diameter trees. Planning for this project included assessment of the area for special status species and identification of erosion prevention measures.
