Coyote Point Recreation Area reopened on June 1 after being closed weekdays due to winter storm damage and even while power remained down. Power has now been restored through out the park and most areas that were closed have reopened as of August 1 (see below). Automated payment machines used to pay the vehicle entry fee are now working.
Closures in the Park

Closed Trails
The Bluff Trail behind CuriOdyssey is closed because a landslide near the overlook has destroyed part of the trail.
Eucalyptus Trail is closed between trail markers 14 & 19 and where it leads up to the Captain's House. Crews are still working to remove trees that have fallen onto the path in the area.
Knoll Area Closed
The Knoll parking lot and picnic areas remain closed while crews use the site as a collection area for logs gathered from throughout the park.
Tree Work and Repairs Continue
Some damaged roads and trails have not been fully repaved. Visitors should watch for uneven pavement and other tripping hazards throughout the park. Clean-up and repairs are expected to continue into the summer.
