How do you become a Junior Ranger?
  1. Go to the visitor center and ask a Parks volunteer or Naturalist for a booklet. If you will be visiting the park when the visitor center is closed, download and print a copy of the booklet prior to your visit.
  2. Fill out the booklet as you explore the park. You don’t need to finish the booklet all in one visit.
  3. Return to the visitor center and show your completed booklet to a Parks volunteer or Naturalist. If the visitor center is closed, you can email photos of your completed booklet to sanmateocountyparks@gmail.com. Include your address so we can send you your pin.
  4. If you collect all 5 pins, you will receive a special Junior Ranger badge! Send a photo of your 5 pins, along with your address, to sanmateocountyparks@gmail.com.
