On December 2, 2025, the County of San Mateo’s Department of Housing issued a Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA), allocating an estimated $5 million in FY 2026-2027 funding from the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), the HOME Investment Partnership (HOME), the State/Federal Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG), and the State Permanent Local Housing Allocation (PLHA) programs, and the City of East Palo Alto Minor Home Repair (EPA MHR) program.

On March 12, 2026, the Housing and Community Development Committee (HCDC) will solicit public comment regarding the FY2026-2027 Annual Action Plan for CDBG, HOME, and ESG funds as well as funding recommendations for State PLHA and State ESG projects, and the EPA MHR program. Draft copies of the FY2026-2027 Annual Action Plan can be accessed at https://www.smcgov.org/housing or a copy can be picked up at the DOH offices located at 260 Harbor Blvd, Bldg.
