First Stanford Affordable Housing Fund Award for San Mateo County

Construction will begin in late 2023 on Colibri Commons, a 136-unit new affordable housing development in East Palo Alto and the first San Mateo County project to benefit from the Department of Housing’s partnership with Santa Clara County with an  award of funds from the Stanford Affordable Housing Fund for affordable housing projects within six miles of the Stanford campus.  “This collaboration is evidence of our ability to work creatively across jurisdictional borders to address the housing impact of a major regional employer,” observed Ray Hodges, Director of the Department of Housing.
