Congratulations to two housing heroes, recently recognized for their lifetime contributions to housing our community at the Housing Leadership Council’s Housing Leadership Day.
Peggy Jensen (on the left) recently retired from San Mateo County as the Assistant County Executive. Peggy founded and led the Home for All Initiative and oversaw the County’s efforts to end homelessness, working closely with the Department of Housing, Health System and Human Services Agency. She also led the San Mateo County COVID Recovery Initiative which distributed over $100,000,000 in Federal and state support for people and communities highly impacted by the pandemic.
Betsy Zobell (on the right) has served as the Housing and Community Development Manager for the City of Daly City since 1996. In that capacity, Betsy focused on new affordable housing development, housing rehab, rental assistance, housing policy, and administration of public service contracts. She previously worked at the County Department of Housing and has been a valued partner since leaving the County to work in Daly City.
