  • Redwood City – San Mateo County Health Officer Dr. Scott Morrow has revised his order to extend school closures and student dismissals from regular school attendance through the end of the 2019-20 academic year. There are no substantive changes to the order other than the extension.

Previous school operations modification orders were set to expire on April 3 and May 1, 2020. The new order supersedes the previous orders and is intended, in conjunction with other measures, to slow the spread of COVID-19 to the maximum extent possible.

School facilities may remain open to staff for the purposes of performing tasks deemed essential by the school district and County Office of Education. Student instruction will continue through flexible learning, meals will continue to be provided and, where possible, childcare may be arranged.
