Voters in San Mateo County sent a strong message that they are willing to invest in the quality of life for all by approving Measure K, a half-cent countywide sales tax extension. Your Board of Supervisors is investing these local funds to purchase new fire engines, expand health and mental health services, maintain and improve our parks, increase the availability of housing that is affordable for everyone and additional steps to improve the quality of life for all.
The Board of Supervisors set up a process for each Board member to recommend investing Measure K funds in specific projects, programs and services that fill unmet needs. This map highlights the investments I recommended for funding and the Board approved.
Thank you for taking the time to explore how local funds are addressing local needs. Learn more about Measure K.
Best,
Warren Slocum, District 4 Supervisor
