The Last of Lions is to be a monumental sculpture built to last the test of time and dedicated to Redwood City’s natural history.
Last of Lions has a polygon shape to symbolize the digital era we are living in. The pose shows it's walking among us. We need to pass the urgency for humanity to protect nature before these majestic animals become just digital representations of themselves.
Mirrors multiply the Lions in a corral pattern where one side they’re facing each other running out of territory, in the other side they are seen vanishing into the corners.
Bars of uneven heights represent the un unwavering pattern of protection and extinction they face.
