2022 Continuum of Care Special NOFO (Notice of Funding Opportunity)

On June 22, 2022, the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) released a Special Continuum of Care (CoC) Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for competitive funding to support communities to address unsheltered and rural homelessness. Applications are due to HUD on October 20, 2022. San Mateo County CoC is eligible for the Unsheltered Homelessness Set-Aside from this NOFO (but not the Rural Homelessness Set-Aside) and plans to apply for these funds.

Project Application

Project applications are due by email to HSA_Homeless_Programs@smcgov.org no later than Friday, September 2, 2022 by 5:00 p.m. Applicants must submit the following documents to the email above by the date/time above:

  • PDF of the completed project application from e-snaps
  • Word version of the completed New Project Application Narrative

Planning and HMIS Project Applications

HSA is the only eligible applicant for Planning and HMIS project funding.

Applications for Planning and HMIS projects are due by email to HSA_Homeless_Programs@smcgov.org no later than Friday, September 23, 2022. Applicants must submit a Word version of the completed Planning and HMIS Project Application Narrative to the email above by the date above. Project Priority Listing

Continuum of Care Consolidated Application for the Special NOFO

The Continuum of Care Consolidated Application for the 2022 Special NOFO for San Mateo County was approved by the San Mateo County 2022 CoC Steering Committee at the 10/14/2022 meeting. The Consolidated Application consists of the CoC-Approved CoC Application, the CoC-Approved CoC Plan, and the CoC-Approved Priority Listing.
