Disability Status
This indicator gives the percentage of the non-institutionalized population in a census tract who are disabled. In an attempt to capture a variety of characteristics that encompass the definition of disability, the Census Bureau identifies serious difficulty with four basic areas of functioning – hearing, vision, cognition, and ambulation.
