2021 Continuum of Care NOFO (Notice of Funding Opportunity)

On August 18, 2021, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) published the Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for the Continuum of Care Homeless Assistance Program.

The NOFO establishes this year’s funding criteria for the Continuum of Care (CoC) Homeless Assistance Programs (sometimes also referred to as the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act programs). A brief summary of highlights is provided in the document below.

The San Mateo County Human Services Agency, as the CoC Lead Agency, is in the process of developing the local competition timeline and application materials. Information is posted below, and this page will be updated with additional information soon. Please check back frequently for new information.

The Continuum of Care Review Panel met on October 19th to review and rank applications received in the 2021 CoC competition.  The final ranked list of projects is posted below, along with minutes from the panel meeting.

New Project Applications

New project applications are due by October 6, 2021, at 5:00 pm to HSA_Homeless_Programs@smcgov.org.  Information about the funding available and application process may be found in the document below titled Availability of New Project Funding 2021 CoC NOFO, please note, The Availability of New Project Funding document has been updated.  The application template is available below, titled New Project Narrative Application Template 2021. 

 


Renewal Applications

Renewal project applications are due by October 6, 2021, at 5:00 pm to HSA_Homeless_Programs@smcgov.org.  Information about the renewal process may be found in the document below titled Information for Renewal Applicants 2021 CoC NOFO. 2021 Project Review and Ranking Process

2021 Continuum of Care Consolidated Application

The Continuum of Care Steering Committee met on Monday, November 8, 2021 to approve the final Project Priority list for this year’s Continuum of Care funding application.  The Consolidated Application to HUD is now complete and available for review.
