12:15am to 11:30pm

The San Mateo County Arts Commission invites arts and cultural organizations to apply for participation in an initiative to address social injustice within our community using the arts as a medium for social change. This initiative addresses several goals of the San Mateo County Arts Commission’s strategic plan adopted in 2020.

Ten arts organizations will be selected to participate in an Arts Leaders Cohort in 2021 with the opportunity to apply for a grant of up to $10,000 for artistic creations and/or arts programming for 2021-2022. The cohort will engage in three facilitated community conversations on racial injustice and will attend three educational programs to learn about the Civil Rights Movement and the art of social change.
