The Advice Line connects callers with licensed attorneys with multilingual abilities and expertise in employment law.

The Advice Line attorneys support workers to understand their rights, provide legal advice, share resources, and assist in filing claims with OLSE and other government agencies as appropriate. For employers, Advice Line attorneys offer support in understanding and complying with their workplace obligations, working to create a culture of knowledge and prevention of workplace violations. 

Advice Line attorneys and operators are not employees of OLSE or the County of San Mateo. The Advice Line can provide limited advice, information, and referrals to OLSE and other enforcement agencies.

Callers may choose to remain anonymous when calling the Advice Line.
