San Mateo County's Shelter Strike Team 

The Strike team is a rapid response team part of San Mateo County's Human Services Agency. The Strike team is staffed by county employees specifically trained to provide Mass Care & Shelter during disasters.  The information on this page is updated to reflect the most up-to-date policies and trainings.  

*Sections 3100 through 3109 of the California Government Code comprise the Disaster Service Worker (DSW) Act. This law mandates that all public employees are disaster service workers during emergencies.
