The Human Services Agency acts as the Community Action Agency for the County of San Mateo.
The objective of the San Mateo County Community Action Agency is to provide services and resources that promote and encourage self-sufficiency to the most vulnerable members of the community.
The Community Action Agency partners with the Core Service Agencies.
The Core Service Agencies provide emergency assistance for housing, shelter, food and other safety net needs. View the list of the Core Service Agencies.

The Community Action Agency is overseen by the Community Action Agency Board, which generally meets quarterly. Meetings are open to the public.
