Women’s View 2025 recognizes, celebrates, and honors the women of San Mateo County during March, National Women’s History Month. Women’s View 2025 is co-sponsored by San Mateo County’s Commission on the Status of Women.

Theme and Eligibility:
Women’s View 2025, the 19th annual San Mateo County Women’s Art Show, is open to women-identifying, non-binary, and gender nonconforming artists who live or work in San Mateo County. Artists are encouraged to submit artwork that exemplifies their personal view of the world. Original paintings, photography, textiles, sculptures, and mixed media are welcome so long as conditions listed below are met.
Artworks shall not contain images or words that can perceived as oppression, obscene or pornographic material matter; advocate or suggest the use of tobacco products or illegal/prohibited substances; advocate for or against political candidates, political campaigns, ballot measures, or political parties or organizations.
Submissions Open January 22, 2025:
To apply to be included in the Women’s View 2025 Art Show, please complete the application which includes one photo of the artwork (JPEG, PNG, TIFF, or SVG format accepted.) Deadline to apply is February 19, 2025, at 11:59 pm (PST); Artists accepted into Women’s View 2025 will be notified by email by February 21, 2025

Entry:
Only ONE (1) artwork per artist will be accepted if it meets the following criteria for eligibility:
- Work must not be older than 5 years.
- For 2D work, minimum size of work is 16’’ including frame on any one side. Maximum size is 36’’ with frame; maximum depth is 3’’; maximum weight is 10lbs per piece.
- For 3D work, minimum size of work is 4” on any side. Maximum length and width is 18”; maximum height is 24”; maximum weight is 20 lbs.
Placement of Work:
Art will be installed the Twin Pines Art Center at the discretion of the Office of Arts and Culture and the Belmont Parks & Recreation Department.
Awards Presentation:
$250 for 1st place, $150 for 2nd place, $100 for 3rd place, and up to three $50 Honorable Mention awards.
Reception:
The San Mateo County Office of Arts and Culture, the Arts Commission, the Commission on the Status of Women, and the Belmont Parks & Recreation Department will host a reception to celebrate Women’s View 2025. The event will be held on March 9, 2025, from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm. The event is open to the public.
