Sixty+ years as sculptor and thirty-five years as community art administrator came together for Ruth Waters is a Seattle native. She graduated from Stanford University in 1955 and started working in hardwoods in 1957 (her mediums now include bronze, marble, constructed room-size sculpture, and painting).
She has exhibited extensively in Northern California, Seattle, Michigan, Washington, DC, and New York, as well as in China and Ireland. Ruth is also the founder of the Peninsula Chapter of the Women’s Caucus for Art; and co-founder of the Peninsula Sculptors’ Guild.
