Anna Westendorf is a Bay Area native with a background in theatre, writing, dance, and arts education. She attended Northeastern University, where she double majored in journalism and theatre arts, and her writing has appeared in the Boston Globe, SF Weekly, and more. She currently serves as Chair for the Redwood City Arts Commission since 2020, has sat on the San Mateo County Arts Commission since 2025, and has previously served on the Board of Directors for Brava! for Women in the Arts in San Francisco. Professionally, Anna spent over a decade in marketing, brand, and communications for companies spanning a variety of sectors before shifting her attention towards finding ways to develop and enhance our local communities. An entrepreneur at heart, she loves solving challenging problems and welcomes a unique question set.

She believes creative expression is a fundamental aspect of humanity and our continued growth in new areas only strengthens us. She is currently learning West Coast Swing.
