Participating employers include the County of San Mateo, SamTrans, San Francisco Department of Public Health, BART, East Palo Alto Police, Bay Area Air Quality Management District, colleges and additional and local, state and federal agencies.

The fair also offers free career counseling, resume reviews and professional headshots to job seekers.

"As a veteran, I understand the sacrifices and challenges that come with military life, and I am committed to supporting our veterans and their families in every way possible,” said Warren Slocum, president of the Board of Supervisors, who is helping sponsor the fair.  “Those veterans and military personnel transitioning to civilian life bring skills with them that are highly valued in the civilian workforce — demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and resilience.”

Advanced registration is required. Admission is free.

The career fair serves as a networking hub for veterans and others, fostering connections and collaborations among individuals with shared experiences and goals.

“We want to help connect veterans and their families to organizations that will encourage them to continue to serve their country and communities,” said Claire Cunningham, director of the Human Services Agency.

The fair underscores the County’s commitment to helping veterans and military members transition to civilian life.

“By connecting them with meaningful employment opportunities, we not only express gratitude for their service but also invest in the strength and prosperity of our communities. Together, we honor their invaluable skills and experiences, fostering pathways to success as we invest in brighter futures for all,” said Rocio Kiryczun, director of the County’s Human Resources Department.
