The Clubhouse, which received a "start-up" grant of local sales tax funds, is now open for adults with a severe mental illness. During a Mental Health Crisis, a SMART approach

With the addition of Measure K funds, the County of San Mateo in conjunction with its ambulance provider, American Medical Response, has increased the availability of the San Mateo County Mental Health Assessment and Referral Team, or SMART program. It aims to provide appropriate care and services for those undergoing a mental health crisis while also diverting patients from costly and overcrowded emergency rooms. Learn more.

Board of Supervisors Approves Aid to Critical Nonprofits 

The San Mateo County Board of Supervisors in May 2016 allocated $5 million in Measure K funds as emergency assistance to community-based treatment programs hit by spiraling real estate and other costs. The bulk of the funding is for loan or lease payments with additional funding for immediate building repairs and upgrades. Learn more.

Countywide Oral Health Strategic Plan

The San Mateo County Oral Health Coalition exists to improve the oral health status of the County’s traditionally underserved and vulnerable populations. A $30,000 grant helped the coalition complete the 2017-2020 San Mateo County Oral Health Strategic Plan, which sets a path forward for increasing access to quality dental services for vulnerable populations. Learn more.
