Call For Artists 

 

Description 

San Mateo County’s Office of Arts and Culture is seeking local artists for solo exhibition opportunities in 2023! 

At County Center in Redwood City we have three gallery spaces:  

The Caldwell Gallery (main floor 400 County Center) 

The Community Gallery (lower level 400 County Center) 

The Rotunda Gallery (555 County Center)

Eligibility  

You must be a resident of San Mateo County, or work for the County of San Mateo. 

We are accepting painting, photography, mosaic, sculpture, yarn-work, ceramics, digital painting, mixed media, and more. Please don’t hesitate to apply if your work falls outside of these categories, but note we are not currently accepting film.  

How To Apply 

Please send 2-4 representative images of artwork completed in the last 5 years (.jpeg, .png, or other readable file), a brief bio, and any links to relevant social media or online portfolios to Shawna Ahern at curator@smcgov.org 

San Mateo County Office of Arts and Culture is committed to supporting San Mateo County artists from every background and at all stages in their creative careers. We strongly encourage artists of color, LGBTQ+ artists, immigrant artists, and artists with disabilities to apply.
