PortFest2024

Host: Port of Redwood City
Description: PortFest is a free community celebration and waterfront festival. The annual event welcomes the community to learn about Redwood City’s maritime heritage and the history of our industrial working waterfront.  
The family-friendly event includes live music, children’s recreational activities, food trucks, vendor booths and a day of fun overlooking the San Francisco Bay.

Mental Imagery and Antiracism

Description: Join Professor Stanford as he guides you through the simulated sky and points out celestial wonders. Immerse yourself in the experience as 13 symvisios are projected onto the 40’ dome, accompanied by harmonious music, allowing your imagination to soar. Following this, Professor Janatpour will present the basics of his Conjunctive Theory of Mental Imagery, which serves as the foundation for Matthew Spigelman and Kelly Tan’s project on “Music as a Medicine to Reduce Racism.”

The Art of Haiku Writing

Description: Join life-long poet Terry Adams for a written word workshop exploring Haiku poetry. Participants, inspired by the workshop’s gallery setting, will write, share their writings and deepen their understanding of this simple and elegant art form.
