Krzysztof was promoted to his role as Deputy Director of Engineering and Resource Protection in March of 2023. He started his career with the Department of Public Works in January of 2010 as an unpaid intern after graduating from San Jose State University with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. His past roles include Associate Civil Engineer, Senior Civil Engineer and Principal Civil Engineer in the Division that he now oversees. His current role includes managing a team responsible for project development, design and construction, flood control and utilities, and waste and environmental management. He enjoys living in the community where he works and being able to part of the team that implements improvements to County infrastructure including roads, bridges, and utilities. He currently lives in San Mateo with his wife, daughter, and French bulldog named Griffen.
