It is the mission of the San Mateo County Juvenile Justice & Delinquency Prevention Commission to be a public conscience in the best interest of young people. The Commission advocates for programs and services that prevent youth entry into the juvenile justice system, and that provide tools young people need to thrive and succeed in life. The Commission seeks to promote respect for the human dignity of all young people who do enter the juvenile justice system and seeks to preserve their youth.
The Juvenile Justice & Delinquency Prevention Team meets on the last Tuesday of every month from 5:15 - 7:15 pm. Click here to see the JJDPC 2023 meeting schedule

Apply to be a commissioner
Vacancies now exist for adult and youth commissioners. The JJDPC consists of 7-15 San Mateo County residents, with two or more between the ages of 14 and 21 years. Commissioners serve 4-year terms. Each commissioner is expected to attend the monthly meetings and serve on one project team and/or assume a role as a JJDPC Coordinator or Liaison with one of our community partners.
