Final Budget Changes Go to Board of Supervisors

Lower Huddart Park area is closed for road maintenance and invasive plant management. Some trails and campgrounds remain closed as staff work to clear heavy storm damage.

Edgewood Park Trail Closures

On Monday through Friday, September 18–22, Sunset Trail in Edgewood Park will be closed between trail markers 13 and 22 for road repair.

Bicycle Sunday Canceled For Holiday Weekends 2023

For holiday weekends in 2023, Bicycle Sunday, the weekly event that allows for non-motorized use of Cañada Road along Crystal Springs Regional Trail, will be canceled to meet the increased holiday needs for staffing at other parks in the area. Bicyclists and motorists, please be mindful to share the road.

New Memorial Park Dog-Friendly Campsites Now Open for Reservation

September 15 is the first date our new dog-friendly campsites in the Huckleberry Flat area of Memorial County Park will be available for use, but reservations can be made now through the San Mateo County Parks website. If you have questions about camping with dogs, contact our reservations staff at 650-363-4021, Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. (closed on Friday).

That was the basic question residents we invited you to answer at a series of listening sessions and in a survey that focused on four key areas: housing and homelessness, emergency preparedness, children and families and mental health. The listening sessions concluded last week. The survey closed Monday at midnight.

First Youth Cultural Ambassadors on a Mission: Bringing Art, Poetry to the Community

Redwood City – Seven local high school students will serve as San Mateo County’s first Youth Cultural Ambassadors. The inaugural seven will seek to “build community through arts and culture with the goal of greater youth involvement in the community.”
