From September 26 to October 7, SLAC will perform vegetation management beneath its power lines in Wunderlich Park. The following trails will be closed (letter refer to closure map below):
We are currently treating up to 100 acres of dense fire fuels in Quarry Park. Some trail closures will occur, Monday through Friday.
Trail closures are planned in San Pedro Valley Park, September 15–29, for invasive species control and culvert replacement projects.
Through September 30, crews are working in Huddart Park to remove dead and dying tan oak trees that have been impacted by Sudden Oak Death. Dean Trail and Archery Fire Road are closed for visitor safety.
Portions of Crystal Springs Regional Trail will be closed through late November 2022.
On September 19–29, construction work within Coyote Point Recreation Area will require the closure of Bluff Trail near CuriOdyssey and reduce parking in some areas. Park visitors, please expect temporary trail and parking lot closures.
For holiday weekends in 2022, Bicycle Sunday, the weekly event that allows for non-motorized use of Cañada Road along Crystal Springs Regional Trail, will be canceled to meet the increased holiday needs for staffing at other parks in the area. Bicyclists and motorists, please be mindful to share the road.
Beginning Thursday, September 15, please give large vehicles and equipment ample space along Old Haul Road and watch for signs notifying of temporary trail closures.
Wednesdays are the regularly scheduled maintenance days for the pump track at Quarry Park. The track will be closed on Wednesdays, sometimes for part of the day, sometimes for the full day, as maintenance needs require.
Crews have returned to Huddart Park to follow up on forest health work performed last November and December near the park entrance. Trails slated for closure include Redwood Nature Trail, and Bay Tree Trail.
In addition to the previously open northern portion of Pescadero Creek Park, a western portion of Old Haul Road is now open. The area south and west of the park, which was burned by the CZU Lightning Complex Fire, remains closed.
Sam McDonald Park's Big Tree Trail is currently closed for maintenance and a bridge replacement. The trail will reopen in spring of 2022 at the earliest.
