REDWOOD CITY (July 2012) - The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) has given an Award for Outstanding Achievement in Popular Annual Financial Reporting to San Mateo County for its Popular Annual Financial Report for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2011. The Award for Outstanding Achievement in Popular Annual Financial Reporting is a prestigious national award recognizing conformance with the highest standards for preparation of state and local government popular reports.

The CAFR contains the County’s audited financial statements and other financial information. Working out of 12 deployment sites, the volunteers covered every county census tract in four hours.
