Controller Releases Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR)

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE   REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – Controller Tom Huening today released for public review the San Mateo County Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2011. The CAFR contains the County’s complete financial statements and other financial information. All of the statements are audited by an independent certified public accountant and provide the public with the confidence that all financial reporting is accurate, open and transparent.

The award is for the County of San Mateo’s Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2012.

REDWOOD CITY (July 2012) - The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) has given an Award for Outstanding Achievement in Popular Annual Financial Reporting to San Mateo County for its Popular Annual Financial Report for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2011. The Award for Outstanding Achievement in Popular Annual Financial  Reporting is a prestigious national award recognizing conformance with the highest standards for preparation of state and local government popular reports.
